S'More Camp...your turn key newsletter

A Better Way

Picture
Let's face some cold hard facts here.  You know that the best way to keep your camp full is to stay in touch.  Yeah! Stay in touch each and every month with your campers.  But, you also have everything else to do.  So just how do you do it.  Well you could send out an email every month.  Let's see there are 120 million emails sent every second.  So, in the time it have taken you to read this paragraph there have been 367,000,000 emails sent.  I know yours is going to stand out in the crowd have your camps willing to open them.

You could sit down and write a letter to each camper...That's a productive use of your time.  Let's think about this for a minute.  You get your list together, and sit down to start writing.  If the average letter takes twenty minutes to write by the time you finish the first round, it will be time to start all over again.  That assumes you only have 200 campers.  If you get paid $40,000, you just spent $1,923.07 not including material cost to get that letter out.  That was a good use of camp resources.

Another option would be to prepare a newsletter for the camp.  So each month you need to go and research the articles.  Then you need to get permission to use the article.  That will take a few weeks.  If you are lucky.  Now you have to layout the articles into the newsletter.  (There is another day wasted.)  Off to the printer, to get the thing printer.  Once they are done with it (two to three days later) it is off to the mail house.  Oh, we almost forgot, the mailing list, you need to get that to the mailing house.  I don't know about you, but this sounds like work.   Let's look at this one a little more.  Figure it will take you three hours to get an article, and you will need at least four articles, that means you are spending 8 hours just getting the articles together.  Let's say you are really good at layout work and it only takes you an hour to layout the newsletter.  Put in another three hours for running around to get it printed and mailed.  That means all total you just spent twelve hours of work on this. And not the kind of work that you were hired for, or want to do.  This way is a little better you only spent $240  to get out the newsletter (not including material costs and postage). There has to be a better way.

That is where That Camp Guy comes to the rescue.  S'more Camp from That Camp Guy is a total turn key newsletter.  In as little as three minutes a month you can have your newsletter done and out the door.

Each month S'more Camp comes to you as a totally done newsletter.  It is a word document, so you can change any of the articles you want.  No need to worry about getting permission for the article.  No need to track down new articles each month.  It is all done for you.  Just insert your camps name, return address, and you are done.  You can print all you want, you can email it if you want.  Or, if you would like, upload the letter to us, and will handle it all for you.

So let's see if I have this correct.  I spend three minutes of time to get the newsletter out.  That works out to about $1.00 in labor costs.  The monthly fee for this newsletter is only $75.  Looks like it makes more sense for your camp to farm this one out to That Camp Guy.
